How we check our data
Short version: every part number comes from a page you can open yourself, and we tell you when only one page agrees.
Where do the numbers come from?
Two places for every car: the carmaker's own parts store and the WIX filter catalog. When a carmaker's store blocks automated lookups or doesn't split parts by engine, we use an official dealer's parts catalog for that brand instead. These are the pages behind the answers on this site today:
- WIXwixfilters.com

We save the part number, the link and the date. We don't copy their text, photos or manuals, and we never use a store's product listing as proof.
What do verified and likely mean?
What if they disagree?
We ask a third source: FRAM, Purolator, or a dealer's parts catalog. If it sides with the carmaker, the answer is verified. If it's still a split, we go with the most trusted source and mark it likely:
- Carmaker
- Dealer catalog
- FRAM or Purolator
- WIX
FA1883 and WIX lists WA11099. We show Ford's FA1883, marked likely.Who does the checking?
AI software does the lookups. It opens the carmaker's store and the WIX catalog and writes down what they list. A second, separate pass reads the same pages and has to agree. A third pass picks finished rows at random and looks them up again from zero, without seeing the first answer.
No person checks every row by hand. That's the reason each answer links to its sources: you can confirm it on the carmaker's own site in a tap.
Old part numbers
Carmakers retire numbers and point to a new one. When they do, we show both and tell you which to buy. The 2014 to 2016 CR‑V cabin filter 80292-T0G-A01 now ships as 80292-SDA-407.
What we never show
- A number no source lists.
- Cars that were never sold, such as a 2017 F‑150 with the 3.7L V6. Ford dropped that engine after 2014.
- Prices. Amazon shows today's price on its own page.
About the Amazon buttons
They're affiliate links. If you buy, FitLookup earns a commission. Whether an Amazon listing really is that part number gets checked separately from the fit answer.
Spotted a mistake?
Tap Something wrong on any answer. That row gets looked up again from scratch. As of Oct 19, 2026 the site shows 4,016 answers across 50 models: 3,682 verified, 303 likely, 24 not found or not listed.
